When Mirko decided it was time to buy a new toy, he would have never guessed it was going to be this little tough orange Mazda 1300. But after seeing it this beautiful example online, reading through its specification and all the blood, sweat and tears that had gone into it… suddenly things were all a bit clearer and a 13B Turbo Mazda 1300 was the newest addition to Mirko’s life!

Pushing out around 400hp, obtaining traction on the little wheels and tyres supplied was proving hard. Forth gear with a little bit of throttle was all it needed to break traction and hit rev limiter, for Mirko this had to change… it’s all good and fun, but there has to be some sort of trajectory forward too!

After spending a little bit of time in the showroom with Hus, a custom set of Hussla HXR030 in Gloss Black were opted for. 17×7 were selected for each corner, but with some millimetre perfection measurement the offsets were machined to suit. A higher offset being run in the rear to make room for the larger, stickier Nitto NT05 semi-slicks measuring 205/40R17 and up the front a slightly more aggressive offset matched with Kumho KU31 measuring 195/45R17.

The brake callipers also got a once over, detail and paint. Just to bring up them back to life and match the restored and modified 1300. With final test fits going without a hitch, the wheels were bolted on for the final time and the fitment spot on for the function required.
