Sometimes we get some strange phone calls; this time would be one of those times. From what started as just a tyre or two, to fix a problem turns into something a tiny bit more. Now when we’re talking FPV’s less is more, unless power. So what do you do other than power? 1) Lower it 2) Upgrade the wheels 3) Upgrade the tyres 4) Paint brakes to suit the look! Easy!
Shane knew he wanted something subtle, but to the right eye… they’d notice the care in choice and style. Keeping it simple, he opted for a set of AG (Avant Garde) M550’s in a staggered set sitting 20×8.5 on the front and 20×10 on the rear. This allowed for the concave wheel design to really show itself off, and take advantage of a staggered set of tyres measuring 245/35/20 on the front and 255/35/20 on the rear!
To get rid of the shiny bits, the hubs were painted black to suit whilst leaving the factory red Brembo’s untouched. There was one final ‘to do’ on the list, a drop! After talking about the uses of his FPV, a subtle drop was all that was required; 1.5 inch on the rear and 1inch on the front!
The final product is, tough and subtle – perfect!
